Coalition Building

Advises: Civic coalitions on joint strategies, planning, training curriculum and collaboration on major policy initiatives on national and global fronts.

Agenda Setting: Utilizes elections as an opportunity for government and political leaders to outline results and share their vision for the future through message development and targeted communications and voter turnout. Advises government leaders to utilize elections as a window for serious dialogue of fundamental issues and a country’s direction.

Advocacy: Enables civic organizations to utilize elections to press agendas on elected officials and political parties while educating and mobilizing voters. Works effectively with civic organizations to bring results in strategic planning, organizational development and tactics to influence government.

  • » US America Votes: Campaign Director for election cycle coordinating 36 national organizations including labor, women and environment groups in 7 states to share volunteers, polling and lists advance coordinated campaign to identify, persuade and turnout voters.
  • » US Earth Day: Crowd-building and constituency outreach in Los Angeles African-American and Latino communities on environmental issues within urban communities.
  • » US Million Mom March: Built audience turnout through endorsing organizations and Mom groups for 500,000-person event in Washington, D.C.

  • » West Bank and Gaza Strip: Author of 300-page manual “Getting Things Done in the West Bank and Gaza” utilized by government leaders throughout the Middle East and North Africa. See selected chapters. Advised Disability Rights Organization on government relations, draft access legislation, citizen lobby days, and establishment of a Parliamentary Disability Rights Caucus.
